What We Do

Initiatives

IWC initiatives, lead by members of the Directorial Board and overseen by Co-president Stephanie Luiz, are the means through which the council hopes to bring change to the Northeastern University Campus. Find out more about each initiative and how to get involved below.

Sorority Reform

Lead by our Executive Director of Sorority Engagement, the IWC hopes to lead the charge against racial bias and sexual assault in sororities nationwide by helping make the change on our campus. Interested in getting involved?

Co-op Equal Opportunity

As students of a university that emphasizes cooperative education, the IWC wants to help co-op advisors ensure that there is no gender disparity in how each gender is presented and therefore aided in applying to each opportunity. Interested in getting involved? Contact our director at

Title IX Transparency

Lead by our Executive Director of Networking and Outreach, the IWC hopes to work with the Northeastern University administration to reaffirm the university's commitment to Title IX in light of the dangerous changes made this year by Education Secretary Betsy Devos. Interested in getting involved?

EcoFeminism

The IWC recognizes that environmental issues and health disparities significantly affect women more into a different degree then it does men. In response, we have created an initiative to address this issue head-on that will work in collaboration with other environmentalist groups on campus to promote sustainability and ecofeminism.
